The IPTM Symposium on Traffic Safety

May 18, 2026
The Institute of Police Technology and Management's (IPTM) Symposium on Traffic Safety takes place in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on May 18-21, 2026. This annual training conference has two tracks: Crash Investigation and Impaired Driving. The Crash Investigation Track provides advanced instruction in crash scene documentation, EDR interpretation, reconstruction math, and courtroom presentation. With hands on crash testing and in-depth technical sessions led by experts in the field, this track equips you with the skills, science, and confidence needed to elevate your investigations from initial measurements to final testimony.

On the Crash, side there are breakout sessions focusing on Crash Reconstruction Techniques, Advanced Investigative Techniques, EDR, Human Factor, and there will be instrumented crash testing with full post-crash data analysis.

There’s a three-day ACTAR Prep course on Friday-Sunday, May 15-17 and ACTAR representatives will administer the ACTAR exam on Friday, May 22. Registration information for Pre- and Post-Conference Activities is available online.
